I have just upgraded to 4.3.6 and have a custom skin on a site which required localising.
The skin has no room for the drop down list - the user just wants to use flag images to select locale.

The localisation selector has to be set to dropdown to work - It there is only a selector set to use links then the localisation tool refuses to change local

I have discovered an number of things about this
Reverting to a standard skin automatically puts the drop down in and so functions

Adding a second selector set to dropdown works
Hiding this selector stops it from functioning

Do you think this is an easy fix or should I just try another workround to stop the dropdown being visible to the user

can you post a screen shot of your general settings?

One important thing I want to know is: did you enabled the HACK?

The HACK has indeed been installed
the url is apparently reset when the flags are clicked but the page just doesnt seem to switch!

http://client.go-real.net/Default.aspx?tabid=53&language=sv-SE

The page does change locale when the selector is set to type dropdown

I was unable to post the image of the settings - you can see it on my site at

Can you tell me if your problem is appearing when users are loggerd in or only with guests?

(I saw you customized the locale detection order)

It happens all the time logged on or not
In fact if i am not logged on it seems to get stuck in the locale last selected and other sites on the portals are being disrupted even the text editor which is a reall problem - I would like to implement this just for this portal and for another portal I would like to have just 2 languages available

If you register I can set you up with admin rights so you can see what is happening yourself

Thanks for the time you are spending to help me resolve this

Dave
Oh it appears as if the notification isnt working on this forum either???
